The "Standard Guide to Athearn Model Trains" lists this car’s availability as "OP3: Out of production; rare – not likely to be found” (but that was when the guide was published in 1998, so it is probably even harder to find now especially since Athearn has discontinued making its “blue box” kits). Although not in a box, it is in good shape (no missing corner steps). Has Athearn’s old metal spring trucks and spring horn-hook couplers (kind with a screw through the cover plate). Nice looking car.
